James is a modern musician and entertainer from Yorkshire, who has played at hundreds of weddings & special events, ranging from intimate occasions with a handful of guests, to the largest, most lavish of celebrations.
He adds a beautiful ambience to any occasion with his unrivalled & fabulous repertoire of piano interpretations of contemporary pop and rock music. With the natural ability to play by ear and also read sheet music, James is understandably very much in demand on the wedding and events circuit.
He began learning the piano and organ at the age of 7, and by the age of 12 was playing with high school ensembles, bands and in musical productions, alongside being a local church organist. He rapidly obtained grade 8 standard on piano, drums and percussion, and joined Calderdale Youth Symphony Orchestra as principal percussionist.
James continued his interest by studying Music Technology BSc at The University of Huddersfield, specialising in Composition and Performance, whilst playing in rock, soul, funk and indie bands on the piano, hammond organ, keyboards, drums and occasional electric and bass guitar.
